Artificial Sports Surface – Sand Dressed

Sand Dressed Carpet Turf is a dense, short pile that requires a fine sand infill. Sand Dressed Artificial Sports Turf is much greener in its appearance as it has more fibres exposed than say a Sand Filled Turf. Infill sand is used to support the fibres to within 5-8mm of the tips, this sand gives the sports surface its stability.
Sand Dressed Artificial Turf is an ideal surface for a Multi Sport Surface, it’s ideal for Tennis and especially suitable for Hockey due to the achievable speed of ball role. It is suitable for football at curriculum level and makes a good practice surface.

Artificial Sports Surface – 3G (Third Generation)

Third Generation Artificial Grass known as 3G Turf not only has sand infill it also has a rubber crumb infill. 3G turf is ideal for football. The rubber and sand infill which supports the longer fibres of the 3G surface when combined with a shock pad installed beneath, make the pitch perfect for the contact sport of rugby. Fibres of up to 65mm are supported by the rubber and sand infill; it is possible to adjust this infill level in order to produce optimum playing characteristics for particular games.
